For doors supplied but not manufactured by Kelso Building Trade Centre Pty Ltd, the warranty provided is the original manufacturer’s warranty, which we pass on in full to our customers.

This warranty gives you confidence that your purchase is backed by our commitment to quality, including:

• Structural soundness and durability as guaranteed by the manufacturer.
• Workmanship and material quality in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Factory-applied finishes and coatings (if applicable).
• Hardware (hinges, locks, handles) supplied with the door, covered under the hardware manufacturer’s warranty.

While Kelso Building Trade Centre Pty Ltd does not provide an additional warranty on these products, we will assist you by facilitating warranty claims with the manufacturer and ensuring your concerns are addressed as quickly and smoothly as possible.

1. Warranty Coverage

The warranty for doors supplied or manufactured by Kelso Building Trade Centre Pty Ltd is valid for the expected life of the product under normal use and maintenance. For doors supplied by a manufacturer, coverage remains subject to the original manufacturer’s warranty terms, which we pass on in full to our customers.

2. Warranty Period

To ensure full warranty protection:

1. Doors must be installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions and relevant building standards.
2. All doors must be sealed, painted, or stained on all faces and edges (including top and bottom) immediately after delivery or installation.
3. Doors must be maintained in a clean, dry condition, with regular care as per the manufacturer’s guidelines.
4. Proof of purchase must be retained and supplied at the time of claim.

This warranty does not cover:

• Natural variations in timber grain, colour, or texture.
• Normal wear and tear, including fading, minor swelling, or scratches.
• Exposure to weather without adequate protection.
• Damage caused by improper storage, handling, or installation.
• Damage resulting from lack of protective finishing or maintenance.
• Warping, swelling, or shrinkage within industry-accepted tolerances (generally up to 5mm).
• Alterations, repairs, or modifications by unauthorised persons.
• Damage from accidents, abuse, or external forces (e.g., water leaks, fire, pests).

5. Claim Procedure

1. Notify Kelso Building Trade Centre Pty Ltd in writing within 7 days of discovering a defect.
2. Provide proof of purchase, photographs, and a description of the issue.
3. Kelso Building Trade Centre Pty Ltd will assist in lodging and managing the claim with the manufacturer, which will also include a representative from Kelso Building Trade Centre Pty Ltd to inspect the door installed at its location.
4. Remedies are provided in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms and may include:

• • Repair of the product.
  • Replacement of the product.
  • Refund (if repair or replacement is not practical).

6. Customer Responsibilities

1. Inspect doors upon delivery and before installation.
2. Store doors flat in a dry, well-ventilated area until installation.
3. Ensure compliance with installation, care, and maintenance guidelines.
4. Maintain protective finishes as recommended by the manufacturer.

7. Disclaimer of Liability

For doors supplied but not manufactured by Kelso Building Trade Centre Pty Ltd, warranty coverage is provided directly by the original manufacturer. While we stand behind the quality of every product we sell, Kelso Building Trade Centre Pty Ltd does not assume liability for issues outside the scope of the manufacturer’s warranty.

Our role is to ensure you have full access to the warranty benefits offered by the manufacturer. We will assist you with the claims process, coordinate with the supplier on your behalf, and keep you informed every step of the way.

This means you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your purchase is supported by both the manufacturer’s warranty and our customer service commitment.

8. Custom Doors and Alterations

For custom doors manufactured by Kelso Building Trade Centre Pty Ltd or alterations made by us to supplied doors (e.g., resizing, machining, glazing, or hardware preparation), the following warranty applies:

• Custom Doors Manufactured by Kelso Building Trade Centre Pty Ltd: Covered for structural integrity and workmanship for the expected life of the product under normal use and maintenance.
• Alterations Made by Kelso Building Trade Centre Pty Ltd: Covered for workmanship related to the alteration (e.g., cut-outs, trimming, glazing), but the underlying product remains subject to the original manufacturer’s warranty.

Any alteration carried out by parties other than Kelso Building Trade Centre Pty Ltd will void the warranty.

This ensures our customers have confidence in both the original product and any professional modifications carried out by our team.
